Welcome to Mavis! Over the past 24 years, Mavis Tutorial Centre Pte Ltd has been offering tuition services of the highest quality to primary, secondary and junior college students.

We are very grateful for the trust that has been placed in us by parents and students over the years; this serves as an encouragement as well as a constant reminder of how an educator’s job is not to be taken lightly. Indeed, our society is rapidly changing. The realisation that children nowadays are heavily influenced by technology as well as the mass media creates an impetus for us to constantly reinvent our pedagogy in order to better engage our students. That said, rest assured that our commitment towards your child’s education has remained unchanged since day one.

Here at Mavis, we invest heavily in our curriculum. We provide a great deal of resources to supplement what your child is learning in school. Our qualified teachers will ensure that these resources are put to good use. In addition, we have our own maintenance and security ‘uncles’, as they are affectionately known, to ensure that the learning environment is safe and conducive for your child.

*Mr Ng joined the civil service as a teacher in 1968. Over his 18 years as an MOE staff, he acquired a wealth of experience in schools, holding the portfolios of Mathematics and Science Coordinator, PSLE Chief Invigilator and examiner. He was an officer in the National Cadet Corps unit.

Our Curriculum

Our teaching materials are thoughtfully crafted and lessons are carried out by qualified teachers who are trained to maximise the resources at hand.

Most of our teachers are NIE-trained and have worked in MOE schools, so we are fully aware of the current MOE curriculum and assessment objectives. We conduct bi-monthly in-house workshops to ensure that all our teaching practices are updated and are perennially well aligned with the latest pedagogical methodology.

We believe in developing interest among students and making them look forward to every lesson, in order to achieve maximum results. Classes are suitable for students of all abilities.

In the period of time leading up to major examinations, complimentary extra lessons are conducted to ensure that our students are well prepared and confident for the exams.
