AND THIS IS ABOUT…
…storytelling, pure and simple.
Twelve giant storybooks proudly command your attention at 12 libraries scattered throughout the island. They have been lovingly created by 12 schools and community groups, which strive to rejuvenate 12 lost tales from various parts of Asia.
Ah, the enchantment of the number 12 — Greek legends sing about 12 gods presiding on Mount Olympus; there are 12 animals in the Chinese zodiac; and way up above you, the stars and heavens are divided into 12 constellations.
GO FOR WORLD OF STORIES…
…to celebrate, remember, and respond to, Asian folklore.
…if you want to bond with different generations and concoct your own lost poems in time to come.
…to delve into history and culture with puppetry, storytelling sessions and arts workshops.
This is a com.mune:Participation programme produced in collaboration with the National Library Board and various schools.
